repeal the Gas Tax

Repeal the 40 Cents a gallon gas tax , that would spur the economy faster than the beer money thats comming in 4-5 months. Also immediatly liciense the hundreds of ex law enforcement officers who are not holding a Reserve Police Officers Commission as we have offered here in texas. A Reserve Officer must work at least 8 hours a month for free with the Agency holding their commission to keep it active. The Sheriffs and Constable Offices have these Reserve positions , however large agencys like the City of Houston are against it because it takes Tens of millions in over time away from full time Officers. Offer all exofficers updated classes in Terrorism, Criminal Code of Proceedures and Family Violance . Waive the 3 hour Cadet rexam and liciense them immediatly with Homeland Security , allowing them to work their DONATED TIME with our Border Agents or even put them in assisting our public schools or University Police. Almost a no cost to the TAXPAYERS, over 300,000 new found Police Force not being tapped into at this time.Currently Texas makes any ex officer afetr a 2 year absence form working with a Police Agency to be required to retest with the 3 hour Cadet Exam, as a way to discourage officers from comming back to donate their time as a Reserve Officer, this is from pressure of large police Unions to help ensure huge over time for their full time Officers. Sad to throw away hundreds of years of experience for some officers to gain from OVERTIME PAY.
